In Junior school, Religious Education at Sligo Grammar is taught in line with the Junior Cycle curriculum and focuses on developing knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and values to enable our students to come to an understanding of religion and its relevance to life, relationships, society and the wider world.
At senior level, students are taught Religious Education as a rotational module and experience a range of programmes developed by the Religious Education Department, with resources provided by Alpha Youth Ireland and Scripture Union, amongst others.
At Sligo Grammar, Religious Education is not an exam subject therefore we take a holistic and pastoral approach to our teaching that echoes the Christian ethos and values that are at the heart of our school.
